... is an Archivist tasked with documenting the human condition of being alive. She is a writer, singer, and producer, and presents her findings in the form of music.

SONGWRITING...

Writing songs around specific characters:
.....✧ DIRECTION: Reference source material for genre choice and visuals. Researched the character lore and personality to include references in the lyrics.

Anthemic songs:

WIN IT ALL
.....✧ Unofficial anthem written for Minecraft Championship (MCC).
.....✧ Used by many participants in 2021-2022 as a pre-tournament “hype” song for their livestreams.
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: High energy and fast paced to get audiences excited. Many lyrical references to the actual games and format of the tournament.

COMEBACK
.....✧ Official collaboration with FNATIC to create an anthem for their VALORANT Champions 2024 tournament participation. Worked directly with FNATIC’s star player Boaster to write and record rap for the song. Song promotions done in Korea with the FNATIC VALORANT team during VALORANT Champions 2024 as well.
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: Multiple demos provided for collaborators to choose from. Research done into selecting an appropriate genre that would resonate with FNATIC’s audience, and a storyline for the song that would fit well with their team’s competitive narrative as well.

Working with collaborators with limited songwriting knowledge to create a song that feels personal to them:
.....✧ DIRECTION: Worked directly with collaborators to choose a genre and lyrical concept that resonated with them. Collaborators were invited to be part of the songwriting process in any capacity they were comfortable with.

FROGGY SONG
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: BoomerNA wanted to create a wholesome song about finding community, and we included a personal message from him at the end of the song encouraging the listener.

BLUE MOON
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: vGumiho participated in choosing a demo and lyrical concept for the song, and also received direction in singing. She also requested to include backing vocals on the bridge from many of her friends, fitting with the song’s themes about friendship and togetherness. We also added cameos of her friends in the music video as well, and had them each suggest specific memories to be drawn as sketched polaroids as a surprise for Gumi to be added at the end.

Toplining:
.....✧ DIRECTION: Melody and rhythm chosen to accentuate existing motifs in instrumental. Lyrical concept is chosen based on vibes of the demo.

TRANSLATING LYRICS TO ENGLISH...

BROUGHT THE HEAT BACK (COVER)

.....✧ DIRECTION: Focus on keeping song lyrical concept, and rhythmical and rhyme scheme structure mainly intact, while taking creative liberties to make the lines flow smoothly in English.RECORDING/BEHIND-THE-SCENES:

VOCAL ARRANGEMENT...

.....✧ Creating full vocal arrangement from scratch or based off an existing song for a cover, with topline as basis.
.....✧ Interpreting topline melody to find key points of focus; emphasizing those points and creating contrast between those moments as well as between sections of the song.

STAR TRAILS (ORIGINAL)
.....✧ DIRECTION: Topline is strange here because chorus is really low in vocal range, so needed to add energy in other ways. Heavier focus on vocal delivery and tonality of doubles/harmonies to add or reduce energy as needed to certain sections. Concept of song taken heavily into consideration, added tons of echoes/reverb to give a floaty/trailing feel.
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: Emphasis on upper harmonies and high octave doubles on chorus. Leaving space for the echoes to shine through was noted to the producer/mixer. Vocals are often used as supplemental pad synth, such as hums on verse 2 blended to layer with the instrumental. Reused bridge topline but with stronger delivery on final post-chorus to add energy.

LOST IN SPACE (ORIGINAL)
.....✧ DIRECTION: Focus on pop/EDM style, with arrangement options and vocal processing recommendations sent for the producer to work with.
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: Standard widening doubles on post-choruses for a “big and danceable” effect, in line with song genre. Sophisticated harmonies used with contrast on verse 2 B section. Vocoder-style vocals on outro give a full and rich sound to finish out the song.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES

POTENTIAL BREAKUP SONG (COVER)
.....✧ DIRECTION: Re-arrangement for four vocalists in a pop/rock style for a chorus battle competition in 2024. Individual vocal styles and line spread were heavily taken into consideration. Focus on lyric interpretation and overall song form to inform choices and vocal delivery.
.....✧ HIGHLIGHTS: Decision to change opening na na na’s to more of an anthem-y delivery. Expansive harmonies sung by all vocalists on choruses to fill space left by instrumental. Harmonies were assigned based on the final blend with the lead vocalist for any given section. Spoken delivery of some doubles/lines on verse 2 and bridge. Ad libs written/added for final chorus emphasis.
